The industry was developed upon the notion that ‘in order to lose weight, all you need to do is burn more calories than you consume’. We think this is bulls#%&! Sorry to be blunt, although this is true to a certain extent – for most people this information can be detrimental to their long term change. For example, eating 3 snickers bars a day and a milkshake may fit into your daily calorie intake, but consuming them won’t help budge that body fat. Although, it may have the same caloric content of 4 healthy sustainable meals!

Jess really does put the personal in Personal Training. My husband and I have been training with Jess twice a week and it is a joy to see her at 5.45am Monday and Friday’s, I never thought I would say that! I suffered a back injury which meant I could not take part in the same training as my husband for 8 weeks, instead Jess wrote me a new program weekly to keep me motivated all the while building strength in my core and back. Our training sessions are never dull and we are always encouraged to get the most out of them. Jess has a wealth of knowledge regarding exercise and better health choices...I have even given up drinking wine with her encouragement! Jess is amazing and I would highly recommend her!

I’ve been training with Ash since late January and I’m in the best shape I’ve been in ages (almost back to my 2009 body). I took an 8 month break from training due to laziness and suffered as a result. Ash has got me back on track physically and mentally. I love how the sessions are a mix of weights and high intensity and results to date are a testament to this. There is still more work to be done, but I can start to see my abs coming back. He’s the best trainer I’ve ever had and best of all, I love how Get Going come to you. Worth every cent.

If you aren’t seeing results or feel you need to shake up your routine a bit, I would HIGHLY recommend doing a nutritional consultation with Cecilia. During my own consultation we discussed factors like my activity levels, personal goals, stress and sleep, as well as foods I like and dislike. From this, Cecilia worked her magic and has created an incredible personalised food plan, including tips with the best ways to prepare the food. I was very reluctant in getting a personal trainer only because I couldn’t compromise food 😂My experience training with Cecilia has not only been great but the fact I was able to reach my target in a short time is simply amazing.She not only followed through on my meals, always reachable even when we’re not training. I do look forward to our session every week because it’s fun!I travel a lot and she has always given me workout plans to do while on holiday 😀What I enjoy the most is that I manage to achieve my results or targets even without being forced or pushed to follow a certain way. Makes the whole experience enjoyable an I definitely look forward to our weekly sessions 🙂

At the start of the year my new! husband and I started our journey to #shredforthewed in May. Our trainer Cecilia has been so amazing and helped us reach our goals and beyond! She encouraged us to always put in 110% even on the days we didn’t feel like getting out of bed. I can’t thank her enough for pushing us and making us fall in love with exercise again! Even with the 100 burpees or pushups or both! She not only is our PT but is now a friend and sometimes Dr Phil on days we are struggling! Thank you Cecilia!

A few months back i contacted Joanne. I only wanted to try something new and step out of my comfort zone. I trained with Jo and was so happy with how she pushed me. She taught me some great new Muay Thai moves like spinning elbows and supergirl punches, and she refined my technique on basic kicks and punches. The blend of intensity and technical work was perfect and I felt like I had a solid workout but made lasting improvements to my Muay Thai skills. I have never been comfortably sparring but Jo really helped my confidence and the impact has been massive. Highly recommended!

We have struggled with our weight our entire lives. As juniors we were never selected for the Victorian State Tennis Team as we were told 'we didn't look the part'. All through high school we were the 'biggest girls' in our year level and in recent years we gained more and more weight after losing our mother. Over the years we have tried many diets, but is wasn't until 10 weeks ago we found Get Going and meet our trainer Travis that we really connected with. Trav, you are truly an inspiration, you put your heart and soul into every session and always strive for the best from us. We would like to thank you for giving us care and attention beyond the call of duty. We achieved success in our first 10 weeks because you never judged us and because of your challenging workouts, nutritional advice, intensity, positive energy, guidance, dedication, motivation, encouragement, patience and support.
