Cancellation & Refund Policy

The short version
You have 7 days from purchase to change your mind and get a full refund, provided you have not yet attended your Mobile PT Foundations Workshop. Once you've attended the workshop, all sales are final. The First 5 Guarantee is a service commitment, not a money-back guarantee. Your statutory rights under Australian Consumer Law are unaffected by this policy.
1. The 7-day cooling-off window
You may request a full refund within 7 days of your purchase date, provided all of the following are true:
- You have not attended your Mobile PT Foundations Workshop cohort.
- You make the request in writing to academy@getgoingpt.com.au.
If granted, your refund will be processed back to the original payment method within 5 business days. Access to the digital content library, the 100 starter leads (if released), and the First 5 Guarantee will be revoked at the time the refund is processed.
We do not deduct payment processing fees from refunds. The full purchase amount is returned to your original payment method.
2. The workshop attendance trigger
Once you have attended your Mobile PT Foundations Workshop cohort, the refund window closes regardless of whether 7 days have passed since purchase.
This is because the workshop is the single highest-cost component of Academy to deliver: small cohorts (6-12 attendees), in-person, half a day of senior trainer time. We cannot recover that delivery once it has happened.
If you bought Academy more than 7 days before your scheduled workshop, the cooling-off window has already passed by the time the workshop happens. You can still cancel attendance and join a later cohort (see Section 4), but you cannot request a refund.
3. Digital content access
The full digital content library (courses, scripts, programming templates, marketing playbook, ops templates, tech setup guides) is released to you immediately on purchase.
You may access and review the digital content during the 7-day cooling-off window without forfeiting your refund right. If you request a refund, your access is revoked at the time the refund is processed.
We do not refund based on "amount of content consumed." Either you're inside the 7-day window and haven't attended the workshop (refund available), or you're not (no refund). This avoids arguing about how many videos you watched.
4. Workshop cohort changes
When you buy Academy, you'll be invited to the next available workshop cohort. If that timing doesn't suit you:
- Before your cohort: you may transfer to any future cohort by emailing academy@getgoingpt.com.au at least 48 hours before the workshop start time. The first transfer is free. Subsequent transfers are $250 each, payable before the new cohort.
- No-show: if you do not attend your scheduled cohort and have not requested a transfer at least 48 hours beforehand, your workshop seat is forfeit. You may purchase a re-booking at $500 to join a future cohort, or continue with the digital content and First 5 Guarantee without the workshop component.
If we cannot offer you a workshop cohort within 90 days of your purchase date through no fault of your own, you may request a full refund regardless of the 7-day window having passed. This is the only post-7-day refund right initiated by you.
5. The 100 starter leads bonus
The 100 starter leads are released to you after you attend your workshop cohort. This timing is deliberate: it ensures the leads arrive after you've worked through the sales scripts and pitch framework in the workshop, so you're equipped to convert them rather than burning them with an untrained pitch.
If you refund within the 7-day cooling-off window, you will not have received the leads yet (because they release post-workshop, and attending the workshop closes the refund window). No offset applies.
If for any operational reason the leads are released before workshop attendance and you subsequently request a refund, your refund will be reduced by $3,000 (the stated value of the leads bonus). Your access to the lead data is revoked at the time the refund is processed.
6. The First 5 Guarantee
The First 5 Guarantee is a service commitment, not a money-back guarantee. If you have not signed your first 5 paying clients within 6 months of purchase, we continue to provide you with monthly check-ins and direct email support until you do. We do not refund Academy if you have not signed 5 clients.
The intent of the First 5 Guarantee is to ensure you have ongoing support to reach the milestone. The intent is not to provide a performance-based refund mechanism. Implementing the system is the buyer's responsibility.
7. Refunds initiated by Get Going
We may issue a refund without you requesting one in the following circumstances:
- We cancel a workshop cohort and cannot offer you a replacement within 90 days.
- We discontinue the Academy product entirely. In this case, refunds are pro-rated based on what you have already received: if you have attended the workshop, no refund is owed; if you have not yet attended the workshop, you are refunded the full purchase price.
- A material misrepresentation in the Academy sales material is identified that affects your purchase decision (entitling you to a remedy under Australian Consumer Law).
8. Zip Money finance
If you financed Academy through Zip Money:
- Get Going receives the full purchase amount upfront from Zip on your behalf.
- If a refund is granted, Get Going refunds Zip directly.
- Your outstanding Zip balance reduces accordingly. You should continue making your scheduled Zip repayments until Zip processes the refund and updates your account.
- Zip's own fees and interest charges are between you and Zip; Get Going does not refund Zip-charged fees or interest.
9. Chargebacks and disputes
If you have a concern about your Academy purchase, contact us first at academy@getgoingpt.com.au. We aim to resolve issues directly and quickly.
Initiating a chargeback or payment dispute through your bank or card issuer without first contacting us may result in your access to the Academy content library and the First 5 Guarantee being suspended while the dispute is investigated. If a chargeback is upheld in your favour, all Academy access (digital content, leads, support) is permanently revoked.
10. How to request a refund
Email academy@getgoingpt.com.au with:
- Your full name
- The email address used at purchase
- Your purchase date
- The reason for the refund (helps us improve, not a requirement for approval)
We aim to respond within 2 business days and process approved refunds within 5 business days of approval.
11. Australian Consumer Law
Nothing in this policy excludes, restricts or modifies any rights or remedies you have under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL) or other applicable laws.
Our goods and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the ACL. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods or services repaired or replaced if they fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
12. Transferring your Academy purchase
Academy purchases are non-transferable. The login credentials, the workshop seat, the 100 starter leads, and the First 5 Guarantee are all tied to the named purchaser and may not be sold, gifted, or shared with another individual.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The version that applies to your purchase is the version in effect at the time of your purchase. We will keep prior versions on file and provide them on request.
