Gruyère, Bacon, and Spinach Scrambled Eggs

A flavourful breakfast dish featuring fluffy scrambled eggs infused with the rich flavours of Gruyère cheese, crispy bacon, and vibrant spinach.

Prep Time: 10 mins


  • 6 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup grated Gruyère cheese
  • 4 slices of bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 1 cup fresh spinach, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Butter or oil for cooking


  1. Cook Bacon (5 minutes): In a skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon until crispy. Remove it from the skillet, crumble it, and set it aside.
  2. Prepare Spinach (1-2 minutes): In the same skillet, add a little butter or oil optional. Sauté the chopped spinach until withers, after 1-2 minutes. Remove it from the skillet and set it aside.
  3. Whisk Eggs (1 minute): In a bowl, whisk the eggs together. Add salt and pepper.
  4. Scramble Eggs (2 minutes): In the same skillet, add a bit more butter or oil if needed. Pour in the whisked eggs. As they begin to set, gently stir them with a spatula.
  5. Add Ingredients (1 minute): When the eggs are mostly cooked but still slightly runny, add the grated Gruyère cheese, crumbled bacon, and sautéed spinach. Continue to cook and stir until the eggs are fully cooked and the cheese is melted.
  6. Serve (Total Time: 10 minutes): Plate the scrambled eggs, garnish with a sprinkle of additional cheese if needed, and serve hot.
